PokerStars sponsored player Lee “Final Table” Nelson warned the entire day 1A field that they should stay out of his way. Unfortunately for Lee, things didn’t go as planned as on just on his second hand in the tournament all the chips were pushed in on a board that ran Q-4-5-7-4. Lee held pocket sevens but his opponent was holding pocket fours which gave him quads.
The only Australian that has won the Aussie Millions tournament is also in Auckland and has managed to double-up his starting chip stack. Some other players that stand out in the field are Team PokerStars pro Emad Tahtouh and SKYCITY Aukland qualifier Michael Song, who are both sittign with big stacks.
In other PokerStars news, Wednesday is a big day at the virtual tables with guaranteed prize pools that will have players fighting to take down thousands of dollars. The biggest tournament of the day will be The Wednesday Quarter Million at 9 pm ET. Also available today will be the Nightly Seventy Grand.
