PokerStars APPT Sydney Day 1C

The Star City Casino is playing host to a large crowd today, many of whom are PokerStars pros. Players in the field will share the tables with pros like: Joe Hachem, Peter Eastgate, Celina Lin, Grant Levy, Jonathan Lin, Emad Tahtoug, Raymond Wu, Tony Hachem, Dan Schreiber, Bryan Huang and Tae Jun Noh.

Other notable players at the table is Jeff Lisandro, who became the only Australian player to win three WSOP bracelets in one year, and Jarred Graham who recently won the high roller tournament at the APPT Sydney. Graham was also joined on Day C by other participants from the high roller tourney like Andrew Scott, Charles Chua, David Saab, Terrance Chann Daniel Neilson, Jonathan Karamalikis and Ben Delaney will try to make it to the top money positions.

The official numbers are in and the total number of players that entered the tournament is 396, which leaves the prize pool just short of the $2.2 million dollars. Forty eight players will be walking out of the Star City Casino with a chunk of the prize pool, with payouts starting at $8,800. The last man or woman standing will be pocketing $550K for his or her performance in the tournament.

Unfortunately during Day 1C some of the PokerStars pros had a rough day at the tables and won’t be returning for day two, including the 2008 WSOP champion Peter Eastgate, the brothers Joe and Tony Hachem, Emad Tahtouh, Celina Lin, Lee Nelson, Jonathan Lin and Eric Assadourian.
