The Asian Pacific Poker tour has made its scheduled stop in Auckland and the festivities will run from October 10th and extend until October 18th. The tour is hosted at the Skycity Casino in New Zealand.
The main event will start tomorrow – the buy-in is $3,250. Other tournaments that stand out are a ladies event that will take place on Saturday 17th and the High Rollers event that will be held on the same day with a buy-in of $10K. There will be daily satellite events to the high roller tournament, each satellite buy-in will be $2,030.
Some of the PokerStars pros at the tournament will be: Grant Levy, Eric Assadourian, Emad Tahtouh, Tony Hachem, Celina Lin and Brian Huang.
In other PokerStars news the guaranteed tournaments had massive fields that bumped-up the prize pools. The Sunday Warm-up had 4,379 players which made the prize pool swell to a remarkable $875K with a total of 630 players being paid. The first place prize was taken by Maudi138tt for $119K, the runner-up was THUGer for $120K and the third place finisher was NutsErryTime for $72K.
The Sunday Million brought 7,364 players to battle at the tables for the $1.5 million prize pool. A total of 1,080 players would make it to the money. The first place prize was taken by sumai for $225K, the runner-up was brummieboy for $165K and the third place finisher was 44-Skadoo for $120K.
