PokerStars EPT Final Table will be Played Today

The European Poker Tour Barcelona which is sponsored by PokerStars started with 478 players, and after six days the final table has been reached, which means a champion will soon be crowned!

The chip leader is Greek player Georgios Kapalas, who started playing poker in 2006 and has quickly become one of Greece’s best players. His earnings exceed $200K, and he has made two EPT final tables prior to Barcelona.

Romanian player Mihai Manole enters the final table with the second biggest stack. Manole has been playing poker for the past six years and his earnings exceed half a million dollars.

Spaniard Santiago Terrazas sits third in chips, and might be considered the veteran of the table with 10 years as a pro under his belt. He hasn’t had any big results this year.

Asa Smith, one of the brightest young stars out of England, has the fourth biggest stack heading into final table play. He has four consecutive cashes at the European Poker Tour and has managed to stay alive in Barcelona despite facing some tough spots.

American Carter Phillips, who has only been playing poker full time for the past ten months, owns the fifth largest stack and has a great shot at winning the event as well.

The other players in the final table are: PokerStars qualifier Matt Lapossie, Toni Ojala and Marc Goodwin.
