Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies is an unpredictable player, and his aggression at the poker tables makes him a much respected opponent. He is mainly an online poker player and specializes in Omaha cash games but he can be seen occasionally in live tournaments. His live tournament winnings exceed $320K. His online earnings for 2007 were more or less $1.6 million and so far this year his he is up more than $2.7 million.
Ziigmund is known for doing a lot of trash talking at the tables, but he says that it’s only for entertainment and he usually only does it with his high stakes friends like Tom “durrrr” Dwan, Patrik Antonius and others he has known for years.
But the chip leader at the PokerStars EPT London has fifteen other opponents that potentially have the skill to take the chip lead away from him and eventually win the tournament. Among the field is PokerStars pro Dennis Phillips who finished in 3rd place at the 2008 WSOP Main Event, he is currently is in 3rd place and is only 50K chips short of the chip leader.
In 6th position is the player who recently won event #2 of the WSOPE, Erik Cajelais, who is having a remarkable performance in London and definitely has the potential of winning the EPT London High Roller event.
Also in the field are the PokerStars pros Dario Minieri, Victoria Coren, Leo Fernandez and William Thorson.
