PokerStars EPT Warsaw Day 3

EPT Warsaw started with two hundred and three players and there’s only fifty five remaining.  Today will be a tough day since they will play down to only twenty four players.

The top prize will exceed half a million dollars and it has been a fierce battle thus far.  PokerStars pro Peter Eastgate failed to make to the money when got involved in an all-in move with players Tome Cardoso Moreira and Clayon Mozdzen.  Eastgate’s pocket jacks where not enough to beat Moreira’s pocket queens.  The hand took Peter out of the contention for the title and left Mozdzen with fewer chips to pursue his goal.

After a very aggressive start from the PokerStars qualifier Carter Phillips, who was able to hold the chip lead through several levels of blinds and finished day with the second largest chip-stack, he got involved in several hands that cost him, and unfortunately his luck did not improve and he unfortunately busted out of the tournament.

The only PokerStars pro remaining in the field is Luca Pagano, who has been involved in a few hands that doubled up his chips.  The Italian player had a difficult second day in the tournament but his efforts were rewarded on day three.

PokerStars qualifier and online poker sensation Shaun Deeb sits among the eight biggest chips stacks in the tournament.  Deeb has won many important tournaments online but is still on the mission of winning an important live tournament.  Things are definitely looking good for him and he could finish the tournament with a strong performance.
