PokerStars Overrun by a “Rook”

Accomplished online poker player Jeff “ICuRaRook” Sluzinski has left his mark on PokerStars this week with a phenomenal hot streak in their multi table tournaments that includes back to back wins in the Nightly Hundred Grand and Wednesday Quarter Million.

Many players will only dream about having the kind of run that Jeff Sluzinski has experienced on PokerStars this week. As most online professionals do, he began grinding many of the large field, large buy-in, high variance tournaments on PokerStars Sunday afternoon trying to play his way to a huge score. He managed a 120th place finish in the internet’s largest weekly poker tournament, the Sunday Million, worth $1,186. He continued playing even later into the night and early hours of Monday morning where he finished in second place at the final table of the $150K Guaranteed $100 + rebuy tournament earning $30,151.45.

Earning more than $32,000 on the first day of the week might be enough for some people, but Jeff went back to work on Monday night winning a $5 tournament with rebuys for $1,901. He padded his tournament resume even more on Tuesday when he found himself at the final table of the Nightly Hundred Grand, and the $22+ Rebuys $15K guaranteed simultaneously. He finished in third place for $3,114 in the $22 the rebuy, but outlasted everyone in the Nightly’ to take home $26,892. Wednesday night was no different where Sluzinski AGAIN made two simultaneous final tables. The smaller of the two was a simple $33 No Limit Hold’em tournament where he finished in 6th place for $1,148, but once again, he took care of business where it counted the most emerging victorious in the Wednesday Quarter Million for an enormous sum of $69,178.

In the past week since the start of August, Sluzinski has over fifty cashes on PokerStars alone, worth more than $150,000. Watch out for ICuRaRook on PokerStars, as he is certainly no “Rook”.
