ElkY has accomplished outstanding feats since his first cash in a live tournament at the ’05 French Open – part of season one of the European Poker Tour – where he finished in ninth place. His earnings at live tournaments for ’06 were modest, but in ’07 he won more than half a million dollars and from that point on his earnings were on the up rise.
A year that ElkY won’t easily forget will be ’08, his live tournament winnings exceeded $3.6 millions. He started off the year with a win at the Caribbean Adventure Tour main event for $2 million, nine months later he finished in first place at the Festa Al Lago which is part of the WPT Season.
In 2009 ElkY had some outstanding results as well, he managed to win $433K at the PCA event, his biggest win of the year was $776K after finishing in third place at the Five Star World Classic. He had a total of eleven cashes during the year.
Despite all his wins and outstanding prizes he has not been able to win a WSOP bracelet and it’s something that he will pursue this year; he also wants to regain his number one spot in the EPT ranking, but Luca Pagano is currently in the lead and he will most likely put up a good fight before stepping down to second place in the rankings.
ElkY is currently playing at the EPT Deauville event and he is having a solid performance. If he manages to make it to the top positions he could potentially gain back the number one spot in the EPT rankings. But there is another factor to take in consideration, Luca Pagano is also in the tournament and he is playing notable poker.
