PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier is still in the chip lead at the WSOPE main event

American poker player Jason Mercier is not new to the European Poker Tour – in season four he won the EPT San Remo and won $1,372,893 for his effort. Also in 2008, Mercier won the High Roller event in the EPT London, taking home $944K. Jason won his first World Series of Poker bracelet this year in the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha tournament after cashing seven times in all his WSOP appearances. He has definitely shown that he is playing remarkable poker and has the potential of winning his second bracelet in Europe.

The second biggest stack belongs to another PokerStars pro, Daniel Negreanu, who surely wants the just as badly as Mercier, especially considering how close he came in Vegas over the summer. He has four WSOP bracelets under his belt and his live tournament earnings exceed $11 million, including a total of forty two times at the WSOP events. Negreanu also has won two World Poker Tour titles, with seven final tables and 17 cashes.

The rest of the final tables includes Markus Ristola, Chris Bjorin, James Akenhead, Barry Shulman, Praz Bansi, Antoine Saout and Matt Hawrilenko.
