The EPT London final table got underway today with American player Aaron Gustavson heading into play with the chiplead at 6.5 million. The shortest stack belonged to Karim Bennani who only had $306K. The other players at the table where: martin Gudvangen, Nikolai Senninger, PokerStars Pro Raymond Wu, Dominic Cullen and the reigning WSOP champion Peter Eastgate.
Karim Bennani didn’t last long as he went all-in pre-flop for his last 209K chips while holding K-3, only to get called by Rui Milhomens’ Ks-Ts. The board ran Js-7d-3s-4s, and Milhomen’s flush knocked Bennini out of the tournament in eighth place for $79K.
Peter Eastgate took the chip lead from Aaron Gustavson and has kept it, despite getting tangled in several hands in which he eventually folded after committing a considerable amount of chips.
Action at the final table unfolded quickly and players Michael Gudvangen, Raymond Wu, Dominic Cullen and Rui Milhomens exited the tournament in the first 100 hands played. The young German player Nikolai Senninger gave the biggest stacks at the table Peter Eastgate and Aaron Gustavson a hard run for their money, after he busted out the heads up action began between Eastgate and Gustavson.
The heads-up action ended quickly when Eastgate push all-in while holding Ace Nine and Aaron called with Ace-Queen, the board brought a Queen and an Ace which gave Aaron a double pair and that was enough to win the match.
