PokerStars Signs Jude Ainsworth

Full Tilt Poker held a press conference recently to announce their newly signed contract with the online sensation Tom “durrrr” Dwan. He was even assigned as the host for the main event of the FTOPS XIV which concluded on November 15th.

But the largest poker room in the world, PokerStars, signed a player of their own, adding Jude Ainsworth to the team to represent them in some upcoming live events, including the United Kingdom/Irish Poker Tour.

The UKIPT tour will give Ainsworth the chance to play in his home town of Galway, Ireland. He has been involved in poker since early 2008 when he won the Irish Poker Championship for $235K, and since then he has kept active in live and online tournaments as well.

Ainsworth biggest came in PokerStars’ SCOOP main event on April 12th, 2009.  His PokerStars account balance was increased with $963K after he outplayed the large player field.

The opening event for the UKIPT will take place in Galway, Ireland on December 11th and it will extend until December 14th.  The series of tournament will be moving across England, Ireland and Scotland, and the Grand Final will be held in London on October the 2nd through the 8th.
