PokerStars

The poker world has been expecting a new world champion for the past three months and luckily the wait is almost over.  The November Nine will be getting together to play down to a final winner in a few days from now.  All the players at the table are experienced enough to win the event, but some names stand out and are among the favorites to win the event.  Phil Ivey is considered the favorite to take down the event, but external factors could affect his game since he is under the most pressure.  By winning he could become the only player to have won 3 bracelets in one year on two different occasions.

But Ivey will have a tough field of players that will do their best to take him down and win the event for themselves.  Three players from the field will be representing PokerStars: the first one is Eric Buchman,a a SUNY Albany graduate that turned poker pro and has won of his money at the live and virtual felts.  His live winnings exceed $900K and depending on his performance this weekend in Vegas he could be taking a few million dollars home with him.

The youngest player at the final table is Joe Cada, who turned 21 this year just in time to participate at the WSOP events and never imagined that his first run at the biggest series of tournaments would make him at least $1.2 million.  If he manages to win the final table he will take Peter Eastgate’s title of the youngest player to win the main event.

The oldest PokerStars representative is Kevin Schaffel who has been playing poker since he was a young kid and has participated in previous WSOP events, most notably a 42nd place the ’04 main event.
