Starting tomorrow, August 4th, PokerStars will begin implementing a synchronized break schedule to better accommodate players who play more than one tournament. For years those who enjoy playing more than one tournament at a time have been left running to the bathroom between hands or losing blinds while they go to get a drink. However, these days are over as all of PokerStars tournaments will now be going on break at the same time.
At fifty-five minutes past each hour, each tournament table will simultaneously go on break allowing players a full five minutes of freedom to do whatever they please, and will prove as a much needed hourly break from the game for the busiest players. With the new update, not all tournaments will be running on this new schedule, although PokerStars will likely be adding new ones as soon as possible provided there are not any problems.
Full Tilt Poker, a chief rival of PokerStars introduced synchronized breaks a few months ago with a very positive reception.
Also with the new update, users on PokerStars who have accumulated 2,000 or more career FPPs will be able to create private tournaments with a buy-in as small as $1.10, down from the previous minimum of $5.50.
