The biggest online guaranteed tournaments brought thousands of poker players to the PokerStars tables and once again each guarantee was met and exceeded. The most popular tournament is the Sunday Million and for this weekend a total of 8,885 players had taken on the task of making it to the money, the total prize pool at stake was $1,777,000 and a total of 1,350 players would take a percentage of that amount.

As the Sunday Million untangled and players kept busting out without reaching the paying positions. One player captured the attention of the experienced players and railbirds, CharismA3 was announced as part of the “online team” this past December and he was having an outstanding performance at the biggest guaranteed tourney of the week. CharismA3 was able to outlast 8,876 players and was fighting to reach the final table. The hand that marked the difference was one in which yurabond raised preflop and CharismA3 moved all-in while holding Ac-10d; yurabond called and showed pocket queens, which had CharismA3 behind and he needed help from the board in order to make it to the final table. Unfortunately for him the board did not connect with any of his two cards and his tournament live ended in tenth position for $9,240.

The final table was played rather quickly and when there were four players remaining the tournament was stopped to try to reach an agreement. The numbers were modified a bit and all four players agreed on the final payouts, while putting aside $30K that would have to be played out. When everything ended, AceQuad was the last man standing for $179K, his heads-up opponent was yurabond for $173K, and third place was taken by IveGotToejam for $182K.

Another tournament that had an amazing influx of players was the Sunday Warm-up, a total of 4,967 players wanted to take a piece of the $993K prize pool and play was fierce at the virtual felts. The final table bubble was awarded to Stilige_Mari after he got involved in a hand that eventually had him all-in with pocket jacks, his opponent was Patokaka2007 with Kd-Js and he had to hope for at least a King on the board to remain alive at the tournament, the board brought Tc-9h-Qs-2s-9c and that gave Patokaka2007 the nut straight and Stilige_Mari was out of the tournament in tenth place for $5,910.73. As play continued players started to exit the tournament and when there were three remaining the tourney was stopped and an agreement was reached. Play resumed to decide who would take $10K that were put aside. When everything was over insanocut took first place for $136K, Patokaka2007 was the runner-up for $110K and AmarulaBr was the third place finisher for $107K.
