As usual, PokerStars was filled with fast and furious action all weekend long. On Sunday, 8603 players showed up for PokerStars’ flagship tournament, The Sunday Million. With a total of $1.7 million up for grabs, five players eventually decided enough was enough and came to an agreement. Under the terms of the deal, xxndavisxx got the biggest portion, taking home $167K. Next came Machiavilian, who garnered $145K, while kixelsyd received 130K. Rounding out the deal were keckboss and Methos_ST, who got $127.5K and $121K, respectively. As per PokerStars’ deal-making stipulations, 30K was left on the table for the eventual winner. In the end, kixelsyd emerged as the newest Sunday Million champ, pushing his total prize to $160K.
Earlier in the day, 4588 players registered for the Sunday Warm-Up, which ballooned the prize-pool up to $917K. When the dust settled, JoseGuti came out on top, earning $143.9K in the process. Losing the heads-up battle was jcgoheels who had to settle for $106.9K, while Rigboz grabbed $75.7K for third. The rest of the final table was rounded out by Xenor30 ($51.8K), chino285 (39.9K), halfizzle ($29.8K), ginofluit ($20.6K), ague007 ($11.4K) and thebirdman84 ($7.3K).
PokerStars capped off the evening with the popular Sunday 500, which garnered 1037 entrants and a $518K prize-pool. When all was said and done, squee451 notched the victory, taking home $89K for his efforts. MONSTER_DONG lost the heads-up match and consoled himself with $64.8K, while Skammes took $49K for third. The rest of the final table consisted of roi kin23 ($36K), sil_eye_hand ($25.6K), roo_400 ($20.4K), moneytaker85 ($15K), vViLDmAn75 (10K), and smerks ($5.7K).
