Even though football season has started in US, poker players are still taking the time to play at the biggest online guaranteed tournaments. This past weekend was no exception, as a total of 6,940 players registered to play at the PokerStars Sunday Million, which had a guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million. As play developed and just before the final table was reached, player KiloZulu pushed all-in with K-5 of hearts in the small blind and was called by Round42 with pocket nines. The board missed both players and the nines held which made KiloZulu the final table bubble boy.
When they got down to three-handed, the players struck a deal, and set aside a $30K prize pool for the last man standing. At the end Fraram took home $190K, the runner-up zakooza grabbed $146K, and the third place finisher, YEBOBOZ, took home $180K as per the deal.
Before action kicked in with the Sunday Million, the Sunday Warm-up was heating up at PokerStars, there where 4,329 players registered, which bumped-up the prize pool to $865K. The final table bubble boy was “rAdve” but he took home $5,194 for his effort. The tournament ended with Ibkslim taking the first place prize of $135K, while pleasepick took 2nd for $100K, ugritaly cashed in third for $71K.
