PokerView opened in 2010 and was an online poker site that was ahead of its time. It was on the Everleaf Gaming Network. PokerView also had special tables where players could sit at poker tables while viewable on webcam. Each player had to have video turned on and could see all other players at the table. The goal was to create a friendly environment that mimicked a live poker game.
The concept was not successful. It also coincided with the decline of the Everleaf Gaming Network, which was stiffing players and operators. PokerView moved to Merge Gaming in 2011.
The Merge Gaming Network started pushing skins away in 2013. The network was unhappy with under the table rakeback deals and operators that were not following promotional rules. PokerView ceased operations in April 2013. PokerView players were moved to Carbon Poker. All VIP Points were lost but funds on deposit were honored. Many other Merge Gaming skins followed, leaving only four on the network.
