Full Tilt Poker has been hosting a weekly satellite tournament since November 2nd and will continue to do so until January 10th, 2010. Each satellite event will award at least one package to the Aussie millions, which includes the buy-in to the main event, hotel accommodations, cash to help with the traveling expenses, and an entry to a $50K freeroll. In addition to these satellites, Full Tilt will also host a satellite tourney on Saturday December 26th that will award at least two packages. A super satellite will be hosted on January 9th, 2010 where at least 5 players will leave the tables with a package. There will be satellite event to each tournament as well for as little as $0.50 or 50 Full Tilt Points.
The largest poker room in the world, PokerStars, is also awarding seats to the Aussie Millions. They have several packages at stake each day every day different types of tournaments. Their packages include the buy-in to the main event and some extra cash to help with traveling expenses.
The first place prize at the Aussie Millions main event is estimated at $1.2 million, and players will not only get the opportunity to play at one of the biggest live tournaments in the world but they will get the chance to stay and vacation in beautiful Australia after participating in the tournament.
