Scott “BigRiskky” Clements took 18th in the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event and collected $396,000. Clements started his career as one of the most feared online players in the world before moving on to become just as respected in the live arena. While he is in contention for the most cherished prize in poker, Clements’ success in the game is arguably unrivaled by many of his competitors.
Known as “BigRiskky” online, Clements holds the rare distinction of being a double WSOP bracelet winner. With a specialty in Omaha, Clements won his first ever bracelet in 2006 by capturing the $3,000 Omaha Hi/Lo championship. He then turned around in 2007 and pulled off another WSOP victory, this time in a $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha tournament. Along with his matching bracelets, Clements is also a World Poker Tour (WPT) champion, having taken down the 2007 North American Poker Championship over eventual WPT Player of the Year and Victory Poker pro Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little.
A Full Tilt Poker pro, Clements has amassed enviable statistics in his brief five-year career. He has scored 17 cashes in WSOP events, winning nearly $1.3 million from that tournament schedule alone. For his tournament poker career, “BigRiskky” has garnered nearly $4 million in winnings.
In 2005, Clements was able to drive through the field to earn a respectable 529th place finish in the WSOP Main Event. Since that time, however, he has not been back to capture any more bounty from poker’s most prestigious tournament. By driving deep into the 2010 “November Nine,” Clements can ensure a larger payday than what he earned for his WPT title.
