A No Limit Hold’em Deep Stack Six-Max event carrying a $530 buy-in played out last night as part of the UB.com Online Championship, or UBOC. The field numbered 514, pushing the prize pool to well over a quarter of a million dollars, and Stuart “THEDONATOR” Paterson came away with the title following a heads-up chop.
Paterson’s victory was worth $51,000. If you watched the World Poker Tour (WPT) in its heyday, then you might remember Paterson from his final table appearance in the 2006 Borgata Winter Open, where he took sixth place for $110,000. That tournament saw 2010 November Niner Michael Mizrachi come away with the trophy in a final table that also included John D’Agostino and Erick Lindgren.
Heads-up, Paterson chopped with UB.com member FINGERS13. The runner-up walked away with $46,000, just $5,000 less than Patterson received. A total of 56 players landed in the money in the high-stakes event.
Third place belonged to Vanessa “PRINCESSDONK” Peng, who hails from Las Vegas. Last year, Peng won the Full Tilt Poker Friday Night Fight for $25,000 and the PokerStars $100 Cubed Turbo for $42,000, among other tournaments. She also final tabled the UB.com $200,000 Guarantee and made the semifinals of a Heads-Up Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) event for $27,000.
Fourth place and an $18,000 payout went to SUMDUMJER69, while Bryan “IKNEWWWIT” Leskowitz landed in fifth. Leskowitz is a former FTOPS jersey winner, having taken down a similar $216 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max event last August for nearly $100,000. In the final four months of 2010, Leskowitz won the Full Tilt Poker $100 Cubed twice for a combined haul of $45,000.
ANYTIMEPOKER took sixth place for $11,000, just edging out JIMDARNABY35 on the final leaderboard. JIMDARNABY35 cashed out for $9,600 from the $530 No Limit Hold’em Deep Stack Six-Max tournament. Anchorage’s Andres “THE MOB RULES” Pereyra finished in eighth place for $7,000. He’s a former Triple Crown winner on PocketFives.com who chopped the Full Tilt Poker $750,000 Guarantee last May for $105,000. Pereyra has also won the PokerStars Nightly Hundred Grand.
The last player to make the final table of the 10th event of UBOC 6 was Brazil’s Marcos “SKETCH1967” Sketch:
1. DICKHOLDEM – $51,330.00
2. FINGERS13 – $46,330.00

5. IKNEWWWIT – $14,263.50
6. ANYTIMEPOKER – $11,565.00
7. JIMDARNABY35 – $9,637.50
8. THE MOB RULES – $7,067.50

In Event #9, a $215 Pot Limit Omaha Cubed tournament also held on Wednesday, STUCKINPGH earned the top prize of $26,000 after blasting through a 221-player field. Matt “Plattsburgh” Vengrin final tabled the tournament and ultimately bowed out in fourth place for a little over $8,000. Also reaching the finale was Tim “TMAY420” West, who has over $3 million in earnings from tournaments tracked by PocketFives.com.
Event #8 kicked off Wednesday’s UBOC schedule and featured a field of 490 players for a $162 No Limit Hold’em contest. Matt “FUTUREPROQQ” Brown was the champion and earned $18,000. Also making the final table was BBBBB33, who is ranked 21st worldwide on PocketFives.com and is a former PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) titleholder.
There’s only one UBOC 6 event on tap for Thursday, a $162 No Limit Hold’em Deep Stack event hosted by former “Amazing Race” contestant Maria Ho. The contest gets underway tonight at 20:05 ET. Visit UB.com or its sister CEREUS Network site, Absolute Poker, for more details.
