UB.com’s Joe Sebok and Full Tilt Poker’s Gavin Smith are famous not just for being poker players and poker personalities, but also for their prop bets over the years. Smith has Sebok’s initials tattooed on his shoulder after losing a bet, Sebok had to wear several embarrassing costumes at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) after losing one, and in perhaps the craziest prop bet, Sebok has to have the faces of Smith and Jeff Madsen tattooed on his body because he was the first of the three to be eliminated from the 2010 World Poker Tour (WPT) L.A. Poker Classic. Now, online poker players at UB.com can be just like those guys.
For this year’s WSOP, UB.com is running a “Craziest Last Longer Bet” promotion. The concept is simple: UB.com customers come up with nutty prop bets for the WSOP and a few of those players will actually get to put their pride where their mouth is, all on UB’s dime.
All UB.com players need to do is create a 90-second or shorter video explaining what the bet is. Maybe the loser of the bet will have to kiss a pig. Maybe he will have to be the winner’s butler for a day. Who knows? Whatever it is, UB.com wants it to be crazy. The entries must be uploaded to YouTube and tagged with “Our video for the www.UB.com last longer bet.” Entrants must also remember to go to UB.com and fill out the official entry form.
After the promotional period ends June 8th, UB.com will select its ten favorite videos and link to them in a June 15th newsletter that will be e-mailed to all UB customers. UB players can then vote for the best one and the winner will receive a WSOP VIP prize package. The prize package includes $1,500 for the two players involved in the prop bet to split for airfare and expenses, five nights hotel accommodations for both, and two seats in 2010 WSOP Event #54 $1,000 No Limit Hold’em. The two players will also get to attend a UB.com VIP party where they will meet Team UB pros such as Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke, Eric “basebaldy” Baldwin, Liv Boeree, and Michael Binger. Of course, the loser of the prop bet will be counted on to make good on his or her end of the bargain.
Only UB.com account holders are eligible to participate in the “Craziest Last Longer Bet” promotions. Players are allowed to submit as many entries as they would like, as long as each features a different prop bet.
