Looking for keepsakes from NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice? UBAuctions.com, which allows members of the popular online poker site to bid on one-of-a-kind items in a similar fashion to eBay, has added several items from the popular reality show.
Among the items that are up for grabs are contestant and Ultimate Bet pro Annie Duke’s pink t-shirt worn during the cupcake challenge (Episode 1) and two wedding dresses from Episode 2. Bidding for these unique items closes between one month and two months from now, depending on the auction. In a press release distributed by the Tokwiro-owned online poker site this week, Duke stated, “Celebrity Apprentice has been incredibly challenging, but equally rewarding. I attribute my success in the game thus far to my poker strategy and I’m thrilled to be able to share some items from the show with members of the UB community.”
Additional items will be put up on UBAuctions.com as the show progresses. A total of 12 contestants remain, with comedian Andrew Dice Clay, figure skating legend Scott Hamilton, actor Tom Green, and “Deal or No Deal” model Claudia Jordan having been ousted in the first four episodes. The show was filmed in New York and is hosted by real estate mogul Donald Trump. Each week, the team that loses the feature task is brought into the boardroom, where one of its members is fired from the show. It airs at 9:00pm ET on Sunday nights on NBC and runs for two hours.
Each episode raises money for charity, with the benefactor of the winning Project Manager receiving the day’s take. Duke is playing for Refugees International, an organization that works closely with Ante Up for Africa, which she founded along with actor Don Cheadle. Ante Up for Africa will once again have its own event during the World Series of Poker (WSOP) this summer. The $5,000 buy-in tournament kicks off on July 2nd, the day before the start of the Main Event. Ultimate Bet has hosted tournaments online benefiting Ante Up for Africa and has also been intricately involved in a variety of fundraising efforts.
Other items available on UBAuctions.com include a Mercedes-Benz ML 350 luxury car. The auction for that item ends in 177 days and leading the way right now is Ultimate Bet member jmurjeff, who has bid 163,000 points. Authentic Super Bowl helmets, beach towels, and mini-helmets are also available, as are NBA collectors’ cards featuring Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Magic Johnson, and Kobe Bryant. If sports and cars aren’t a player’s cup of tea, they can elect to bid on a BOSE home theater system, Fossil watches, and a variety of RAI$E merchandise, reflecting the name of Ultimate Bet’s points system.
Ultimate Bet members can also bid on entries into the Sniper $80,000 Guaranteed bounty tournament (14,100 points is the leader in the clubhouse at the time of writing), the weekly $200,000 Guaranteed (9,100 points), and a WSOP Super Satellite package (5,100 points). There’s even a one ounce $100 golden proof collector’s coin as well as a framed state quarters display case for numismatists on Ultimate Bet.
Ultimate Bet recently merged with sister site Absolute Poker to form the CEREUS Network. Both sites accept players from the United States with open arms. According to traffic ranking site PokerScout.com, CEREUS ranks as the sixth busiest worldwide in terms of cash game traffic with a seven day running average of 2,750 players.
