Ultimate Bet has an innovative promotion that will have college students playing for a $30K prize pool. The tournament will be divided into two parts, one will be online and the wrap-up of the event will take place in Los Angeles.
The online main event will be held on November 30th at 8:30 pm. The $30K prize will be on the line, and the top six players will receive money prizes plus $750 for travel expenses to the 2nd part of the tournament that will take place in LA.
There will be several ways to enter the tournament. Daily freerolls will start at 8:15 pm where the top nine players will qualify for the following day’s freeroll at 8 pm, where nine seats will be awarded to the Sunday Main Event Qualifier.
Players could opt for the second option which is a daily twenty five cent qualifier that will start at 8:30 pm; the top nine players will be awarded seats at the weekly Sunday Main Event Qualifier. The third option will be the $5 daily qualifiers that start at 8:45 pm.
All players that finished in the top 15 positions at the weekly Sunday main event qualifiers will have to verify their identities and school information as well. Ultimate Bet will allow them to verify the information by either e-mail of by sending in a fax with the requested information. Players will have three days to comply with the identification process. Since UB wants all their college players to qualify for the main event there is no restriction on the amount of freerolls they can participate in.
