The Bicycle Casino and the World Poker Tour partnered up to host the Legends of Poker tournament. The poker players seen at the event are among the best in the world and the competition is fierce. Being the Legends of Poker Champion is a title that gains respect from other players in the poker world.
The Legends of Poker Champion 2008 was John Phan who has more than $5 million in live tournament earnings and many years of experience in live table tournaments. Second place was won by Amit Makhija in 2008; he has more than $1 million in live tournament earnings and he’s a well known online player that usually plays under the screen name “amak316”. Third place was taken by Zachary Clark in 2008; his total live tournament earnings are $433,022.
This year was no exception at the Legends of Poker tournament, names like Daniel Negreanu, Men “The Master” Nguyen, Ultimate Bet Pros Bryan Devonshire and Adam Levy, Scotty Nguyen and many more registered for the prestigious main event.
The Ultimate Bet pro Brian Devonshire was among the chip leaders in day two but did not make it to the final table along with fellow Ultimate Bet Pro Adam Levy.
The players that will play down to a winner at the final table are: chip leader Sam Stein, Todd Terry, Kevin Schaffel, Prahlad Friedman, Mike Krescanko and Toto Leonidas.
