The poker brat sat with the 63rd best stack when action started on day three at the Ultimate Bet 10th Anniversary Aruba Poker Classic and was still in contention for the big money. At that particular point in the tournament, Robert Mizrachi held the chips lead with 353 thousand chips.

Phil is a tight player and had the patience to wait two days before making any big plays, but when there where sixty two players remaining, Phil got what he waited for two days – pocket rockets. Hellmuth put most of his chips in the middle pre-flop and was called by both John Venturini holding Ac-Kc and Jonathan Lessin who held pocket kings. The flop came down Qh – Qs – 9c which increased the odds of Phils’s opponents, and the 10c turn made things worse for Phil. By this point the Ultimate Bet pro was out of his chair, and the river was a king which favored Lessin and moved him from being the smallest stack among all three players to holding a fair amount of chips.

Phil was still alive in the tournament but things where not looking good. Just a few hands after Phil put the rest of his chips in play an unfortunately for him his tournament run was over. He finished out of the money since only 45 players get paid.

In a hand where Vincent Moscasti held As – 10c and pushed all-in with his 10K chips, there was one caller; it was John Venturini with his pocket rockets, unfortunately for Moscasti the board ran Kc – 5c – 7s – 3s – Qh, and he was out in the bubble boy position.
