Here is the official teaser from the video, which is part 1 in a multi-video series:
[vital]Myth hits the ground running with a new series focused on understanding your databases, analyzing the data, optimizing your game based on data, and applying filters. AKA, checkin yo’self before you reck yo’self.
Note that this video is also available for iPod devices to CardRunners members.
Here is some of the discussion from the video’s thread:
regarding the proper calculation of maximum acceptable losses when playing out of the blinds: yep you are correct, that should be adjusted for the fact that open-folding would be losing -50bb/100 or -100bb/100 in those spots.
is it sufficient to show a profit? never. it’s ONLY sufficient to be optimal. just because you have a high-enough cbet success frequency doesn’t mean that you can kick back and say, “well, cool, at least i’m not losing on my cbets” and be done with it. you should make your cbets as profitable as possible. if you’re showing marginal profits or if you have a success frequency that is just-barely high enough, then try and improve.
