It used to be that poker professionals aligned themselves with pretty much any product out there, eager to get their names in the ether so they could increase their notoriety. In 2020, however, those opportunities are few and far between. One pro who has beat that monkey is veteran poker professional Allen Kessler, who has now joined the elite Poker Elephant “Ask a Pro” Team, effective immediately.
Kessler Brings Long History of Success to Poker Elephant
To say that Kessler might know what he is talking about would be a huge understatement. With documented tournament poker success that dates to the 2001 World Series of Poker, Kessler has racked up stats that would make any poker player proud. All totaled, Kessler has earned close to $4 million in career earnings, is ranked in tenth place on the Global Poker Index with 343 documented cashes and has made five WSOP final tables and two World Poker Tour final tables.
Kessler is noted for being one of poker’s leading curmudgeons, but he seems to be looking forward to the challenges of working with players at Poker Elephant. “After decades of playing poker, I have been asked a lot of questions and shared a lot of tips along the way, so I’m excited to take it to the next level and join the amazing pros on Poker Elephant,” Kessler said. “Ask me anything – there is nothing I love talking about more than poker!”
Kessler will team up with another top pro, Melanie Weisner, who has been a part of the Poker Elephant team for some time. “Nothing else on the market has a feature where you can get immediate feedback from pro players,” said Weisner. “You can submit a hand to a pro who you think has a play style similar to yours—or pick someone totally opposite from you for a fresh perspective. Having this kind of high-level and cost-effective access means you won’t be stuck in the echo chamber of your normal peer group and can level up quicker.”
What Can Poker Elephant Do for You?
Poker Elephant (because an elephant never forgets!) is an app that can be used to record actions during a session of poker. It can analyze what you do on the felt, whether it is live or online, and take care of tracking your wins (and, unfortunately, losses). You can also calculate hand probabilities and keep notes on your opponent, a tool valuable to all poker players.
“If you want to know how you can improve and how to take your poker game to the next level, Allen Kessler is one of the best at understanding the game and passing on his expertise. We’re thrilled to have him join our team,” said Elisa Fair, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Poker Elephant. “We designed our app so that players everywhere can get better and increase their wins and winnings.”
Co-owner and double WSOP Circuit ring winner Lena Evans added, “Poker Elephant provides a dynamic experience that helps players improve, connect and succeed in the thriving world of online poker as well. It’s truly been a game-changer and ‘Ask a Pro’ will dial up the influence of this app in the poker world.”
