This video is a running commentary of what was happening at the Final Table as it was occurred. ESPN’s Bernard Lee, a pro poker player who finished 13th in the Main Event one year, offers his poker player’s insight into what was unfolding between the players. There’s been a lot of rumors about what happened once results were posted, but this will serve as the true insider’s look from a journalistic and pro poker player’s perspectives.
The 2010 WSOP Main Event November Nine began play at noon on November 5th with nine players vying to be in the final two. The finale of the WSOP Main Event this year will occur on November 8th at 8pm at the Rio Hotel and Casino inside the Penn & Teller theater.
First eliminated from the table was Soi Nguyen, the only true amateur remaining. He was followed by Canadian Matt Jarvis who was in a big hand with Joseph Cheong that crippled him, leading to his elimination. The seventh place finisher was Jason Senti, who received a lot of praise for his short stack play and ability to last as long as he did. The sixth place finisher was John Dolan who disappointed many but simply couldn’t get anything going. Fifth place belonged to popular poker pro Michael Mizrachi, otherwise known as The Grinder, who actually held the chipstack lead at the dinner break. Italian player Filippo Candio cruised to a fourth place finish and in the end, Joseph Cheong blew a huge chip lead to finish third. That left Jonathan Duhamel and John Racener as the final two players to compete heads up for the title.
