The Main Event of the second Bodog Poker Open was held over the weekend and emerging victorious from the pack of 477 players was zubs1aa. The tournament boasted a buy-in of $500 and attracted some of the top regulars who play on Bodog as well as online poker site representatives David Williams, Jean-Robert Bellande, Evelyn Ng, and Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo.

Among the field in Sunday’s Main Event were Thayer “thay3r” Rasmussen, Eric “Rizen” Lynch, Zachary “CrazyZachary” Clark, Jon “PearlJammer” Turner, Garrett “GBecks” Beckman, and Scott “SCTrojans” Freeman. Bonomo led the Bodog contingent throughout the Main Event. When the smoke cleared, here were the top 10 payouts:

The win in the Bodog Poker Open II Main Event capped off a successful week for zubs1aa. The online poker player won three $100 qualifiers into the Main Event on Saturday alone. For his efforts that day, he took home $1,000 in tournament dollars plus a $500 Main Event buy-in. His $75,000 win was his second cash in the BPO; he finished seventh in Event #5.

The tournament series shelled out over $730,000 in prize pool money in 14 total tournaments and attracted 3,539 players. In comparison, the first Bodog Poker Open had a total prize pool of $675,000.

Bonomo outlasted an accomplished group of poker players who make up Team Bodog. David Williams is a World Series of Poker bracelet holder who took down a $1,500 buy-in Seven Card Stud tournament in 2006. Earlier that year, he won a $5,000 buy-in HOSE tournament at a Circuit Event in Las Vegas for $91,250. He amassed $3.5 million for finishing second to PokerStars pro Greg Raymer in the 2004 WSOP Main Event. That final table also included Josh Arieh and Dan Harrington.

Jean-Robert Bellande is a former contestant on the CBS reality series “Survivor.” He finished fourth in the WPT’s Bad Boys of Poker in a tournament that also featured Gus Hansen, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, Antanas Guoga, Phil Hellmuth, and Men “The Master” Nguyen. He was the runner up to online poker pro Matt “mattg1983” Graham in the $1,500 buy-in Limit Hold’em Shooutout event during the 2008 WSOP, pocketing $173,564.

Ng has four World Poker Tour cashes for a combined $180,000. She took second in the first WPT Ladies’ Night tournament, falling to Clonie Gowen heads-up. Annie Duke, Maureen Feduniak, Kathy Liebert, and Jennifer Harman were also part of that illustrious event.

Bonomo is known across the online poker world as “ZeeJustin.” He made the final table of the French Open in 2005 and was the lone representative of Team Bodog to make the final nine of the Bodog Poker Open II Main Event. He finished second in a $5,000 buy-in Mixed Hold’em tournament during the 2008 WSOP for $230,159, one of two final tables for the young poker prodigy this year.

Bodog plays host to a $100,000 Guaranteed tournament every Sunday. It regularly sees a sizeable overlay, which means that the actual prize pool falls short of $100,000. The buy-in is $109 and a bevy of satellites are available. It begins at 4:00pm ET every Sunday afternoon. Bodog happily accepts customers from the United States.
